GHOUL CASSEROLE

9 lasagna noodles, cooked just to al dente
2 cups cottage cheese
8 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
28 oz. jar of spaghetti sauce
sliced black olives (optional)

Spray a 7"x11" baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Pour one cup of sauce evenly on bottom of pan. Lay 3 noodles over sauce, then spread 1/3 of the cottage cheese, 1/4 of the Mozzarella, and 1/4 of the parmesan over the noodles, in that order. Pour another cup of sauce over, then repeat with another layer of noodles, cottage cheese, mozzarella, and parmesan. Continue in that fashion until all the ingredients are used up.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Top with more mozzarella and parmesan, and sprinkle with black olives if desired.

Serves 6 ghouls.

ZOMBIE MEATLOAF

Favorite meat loaf recipe (for a good one, click here)

Thick tomato sauce or ketchup
Round carrot slices for eyes
Pitted black olive for nose
Pimento strip for mouth

Form meatloaf into the shape of a human body, making depressions in the head for the eyes, nose, and mouth. Bake meatloaf as directed. Remove from oven and let cool slighly, Create the face with the vegetables. Cut some gashes in the body with a sharp knife, and drizzle tomato sauce or ketchup into them to simulate bloody wounds.

Variation: GHOST MEATLOAF

Form meatloaf into ghost shape and cook as usual. Remove meatloaf from oven and let cool slightly. "Frost" meatloaf completely with cooked mashed potatoes, making surface as smooth as possible. Use pitted black olives for eyes and mouth.

SWAMP SLIME

1 box lime-flavored gelatin
Lemon-lime soda

Mix gelatin according to directions. Chill until set. Mix with fork, breaking the gelatin up into globs. Spoon into a clear glass, about 3/4 full. Fill the rest of the way with soda, and drink through a straw.

VARIATIONS:

MONSTER SLIME:
Use orange or grape instead of lime gelatin, and orange or grape soda. Layer all three colors of gelatin in a glass for a truly monstrous effect, or mix and match.

VAMPIRE SLIME:
Substitute black cherry or raspberry gelatin, and cola.
Looks like clotted blood.

STICKY BAT WINGS

36 chicken wings or drummettes
1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed dark brown sugar

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

If using chicken wings, cut off the wing tips (bag and freeze for soup making). If desired, cut each of the chicken wings into two pieces, separating them at the joint. If using drummettes, skip this step.

Put parts in large shallow roasting or baking pan. Combine soy sauce and sugars and pour the mixture over the chicken.

Bake for 30 minutes. Remove the pan and turn each piece of chicken over using tongs. Return the pan to the oven for another 30 minutes. Turn the wings again, and cook for about 20 minutes longer, or until mahogany colored and very tender.

Transfer to a large serving platter. Place an extra bowl or plate alongside for the bones.
