Shades of Halloween Past

I have always been delighted by the fall season and entranced with Halloween in particular. I think what started it all off for me was when I was 5 years old. Mom had taken me out trick or treating, and at one house a man had dressed up as a witch and scared the bejeesus out of me. I not only always remembered that…but it shaped my perception of the holiday. Now I strive to give my children, as well as the ones in the neighborhood, a little bit of that magic I remember from my childhood.
