GWAR! What can I say about them? They are everything that is, was and ever will be. It's odd to find a group today with more than 2 music styles as it is, but GWAR goes far beyond odd. Although they play mainly punk-thrash-metal, they have played funk, pop, reggae, even country. Where else can you find such an orgy of perverted, disgustingly amazing costumes and hard, fast music?

Just look at these guys!!!

Dave Brockie (Oderus Urungus) singing lead, Danyell Stampe (Slymenstra Hymen, sister of Oderus) dancing and singing, Charles Varga (The Sexicutioner) also on the mic, Casey Orr (Beefcake The Mighty) on bass, Pete Lee (Flattus Maximus) farting ang playing guitar, Mike Derks (BalSac The Jaws of Death) also on guitar, Brad Roberts (Jizmak Da Gusha) at the drums and Sleazy P. Martini holding it all together as manager and vocalist. After being forced to this trash dump known as Earth, GWAR based themselves out of Richmond, Virginia on the scummiest rock this sphere has kept above sea level; the USA. Show after show they play out the end of the world on stage with gallons of theatrical blood, semen and whatever else they can project out on to the pile of bodies paying their respect to GWAR. Album after album we learn more and more about the last days of our kind.

GWAR have also thrown a few DIY films at their loyal followers.

Rendezvous with Ragnarok: A mix of live stage performance and videos. If you've never seen GWAR live before, this is a good pick.

Skulhed Face: Jello Biafra and GWAR together on one reel, what more do you want?

Phallus in Wonderland: Watch this one with grandma and grandpa.
