Music... Music is the easiest escape from the trouble of reality. Anyone that is unable to appreciate music, of any kind, has some serious problems. Music is our companion. When we feel depressed, we can put on our favorite song and cheer up just a bit. Or maybe we have that one song that describes the problem at hand so perfectly. But today, music has become a definition of lifestyle, and that pisses me off. Now it's as if you decide your social standing by the music you decide to listen to. Are you a punk or a skin or a rude boy or a thug or a teeny-bopper? What the hell does it matter?!? Why can't people just listen to what they want, and judge each other by who you are instead of what you listen to... I enjoy everything from punk, to ska, to classical, reggae, jazz, world, rap, techno, even Tori Amos. I absolutely hate it when someone says something like "Why are you listening to Tori Amos? Aren't you a punk?" What does that mean? As far as I remember, punk was about doing your own thing and being able to not give a damn what the rest of the world thinks about you. Punk is a mindframe, not a dress attire. Yeah, I wear leather and spikes and chains and put my hair in a nice long devillock, but it shouldn't mean that I have to question myself before listening to something other than punk. Well, being that this site has to stay horror-related, I'll only be putting a few bands up here...
