Some of the really true horror fans I have met all share the love for absolute terror in their artwork. Obviously, you generally won't find a horror fan drawing duckies and bunnies with fingerpaints... But there are some that truly test the strength of one's stomach, those pieces that stick in your head for weeks after you see them. The new forms of artwork coming from the minds of the the dark at heart are opening doors that were considered taboo for many years. One of the most interesting pieces I have seen was created with a large piece of plywood (painted black) which had glued to it; various action figures positioned in fights with one another. Their bodies had been melted to deformed states, and deep red candlewax had been used to give the appearance of blood spraying out of bodies and centering in pools on the ground. I love to see people trying new things. But noone I have met to this day could understand my dream. Art that we have all tried in one form or another, but has rarely been focused on or had large amounts of time dedicated to it.

Imagine, just for a moment, that you could use another person's mind as your canvas. If you could paint a person's personality: What style would you use? Which brushstrokes would be picked up on immeadiately, and which would be kept hidden deep beneath layers of color? Who would you show your work too? How would you present it to those people? It would almost be like sketching another you. You could bring out emotions you know that you have, but have never let loose. All your hatred, all your true feelings? Would you use them, or would you create something totally new? Maybe an example of some sort is in order...

Relationships sometimes contain an element of this style. Those who are considered "whipped" by their significant other are somewhat similar to what I am saying. But keeping your mate wrapped around your finger is simply a form of "people hacking," and only a small part of it. To create a masterpiece the likes of which I speak of requires much more. EVERY detail must be done by the artist, or the work is impure. Just like you would spend hours setting up your friend so he walked in on your older sibling while they were in the shower for a good, long laugh as both of their faces turned beat red; Only in this case you set up all emotions to explode. All details must be well thought out. In addition to setting up embarassment, frustration, and confusion, set up love, fear, anger, sorrow, regret, happiness, indifference. For practice, concentrate on one emotion to begin with.

Try to control someone's fear, for example. Try to make it so you know everything that scares the person as well as what they have no fear of. You know because you created it. Or perhaps humor would be an easier way to start. Decide what should be considered funny, and what shouldn't. There's more too it though. What about the things you don't want to be funny? Do you make them offensive to the person, or disgusting, or immature? Remember: EVERY detail must be considered.

I hope you have an understanding now of what exactly I am aiming for. It's not mind control, so please do not think that. It is more of a mind molding, if anything. Anyone who has ever put serious thought into this or anyone with comments, please e-mail me (pHR33D0m_@hotmail.com). I request that you refrain from writing to me with hate mail or to tell me I am a sick bastard or something. You came to a horror site, that's what you get. I don't need your opinions on morals... Anyone else I will reply to if you so request.
