SPACEWAYS (1952) Howard Duff, Eva Bartok, Alan Wheatley, Philip Leaver. Scientists Stephen and Vanessa Mitchell are part of a British team testing the nation's first rocket, but their personal lives are ruined by their bickering and by Vanessa's affair with fellow scientist Philip Crenshaw. The rocket is launched but malfunctions and is left stranded in orbit - and Vanessa and Crenshaw have gone missing. Has Mitchell murdered them and hidden their bodies aboard the ruined rocket?

Bill uses the device to make a duplicate of Lena which he names Helen. But Helen soon falls in love with Robin and Bill has to resort to more extreme methods to solve the problem...

A space mission overseen by Professor Bernard Quatermass ends when the rocket crashlands in the English countryside. Two of the crew have mysteriously disappeared and the third, Victor Carroon, has been infected by an alien organism and is undergoing a painful metamorphosis. Driven by the need to consume lifeforce from other living creatures, Carroon escapes and goes on the rampage before, finally evolving into a giant, plant-like creature, he is cornered in Westminster Abbey.

X THE UNKNOWN (1956) Dean Jagger, Edward Chapman, Leo McKern, Anthony Newley. A troop of British commandos return from a covert mission suffering from mysterious symptoms and horrific burns. Dr. Adam Royston, an atomic scientist, suspects lethal radiation, and must track down the source of this menace before it overtakes humanity. A desolate area of Scotland is threatened by the cyclical appearance of a giant radioactive blob of mud that arises from the depths of the Earth to consume everything in its path.

Professor Bernard Quatermass uncovers a plot to invade the Earth by a race of aliens that are hiding in a factory for synthetic food based on the designs created by Quatermass for a Moonbase. But the aliens have already infiltrated the upper ecehelons of power within British society and Quatermass no longer knows who he trust.

THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN OF THE HIMALAYAS (1957) Peter Cushing, Forrest Tucker. At a remote Tibetan monastery in the Himalayas, a botanical expedition has been collecting and categorizing rare plants. Dr. John Rollason, however, has an ulterior motive for his visit; he has plans to meet up with another party lead by an American entrepreneur, Tom Friend, whose goal is to discover the mysterious Yeti. Against the pleadings of his wife Helen and the warnings of the Llama, Rollason leaves with Friend's party to investigate the high valleys. Neither Rollason nor Friend is prepared for what they find there.

5 MILLION YEARS TO EARTH (1967, QUATERMASS AND THE PIT in the UK) James Donald, Andrew Keir, Barbara Shelley. Work on a new London underground line is halted when a skeleton and what appears to be World War II missile are uncovered. But the 'missile' turns out to be an alien spacecraft and Professor Bernard Quatermass is called in to investigate. It soon turns out that the locust like aliens entombed in the ship are not as dead as they seem and that millions of years before they had had arrived on Earth from Mars to tamper with the brains of primitive ape creatures. The opening of the ship unleashes the ancient forces of evil that have lain dormant in humanity for millenia.

MOON ZERO TWO (1969) James Olson, Catherina von Schell, Warren Mitchell, Adrienne Corri. A gang of crooks is planning to capture a small asteroid made of sapphire and crashing it into the moon so that they can salvage it. But the only place they can bring it down undetected is on a mining claim on the dark side of the moon and they murder the miner who owns it. But the salvage team the crooks have hired to help them retrieve the asteroid is also working for the miner's sister, who is paying them to search for her missing brother...
