The Plot:
Teenagers Steve Andrews and Jane Martin find an old farmer in dire need of a doctor. It seems the old man found a meteor and when the meteor opened, an unknown substance escaped from inside and managed to attach itself to the old man's arm. When Steve takes the old man to the town doctor, the doctor is puzzled by this Blob on the old man's arm, which has grown since the teenagers found the old man. Later, when Steve and Jane go to check to see how the old man is doing, Steve sees the Blob devour the doctor. However, the police refuse to believe him, and when they inquire about the doctor, they are told he is traveling to a doctor's convention. Trying to find proof of the Blob's existence so he can convince the police of the danger it represents, Steve and Jane are chased by the Blob inside a seemingly deserted market to the freezer. The Blob starts to slither under the door, but stops and retreats. Steve brings the police to the market, but the Blob is no longer there and the police still refuse to believe him. Suddenly, The Blob terrorizes the local movie theater and the patrons run out in panic. The Blob traps Steve, Jane and her little brother inside a diner. Steve remembers the Blob wouldn't enter the freezer and guesses that it cannot stand cold temperatures. He uses a fire extinguisher and relays the message to the police to get every fire extinguisher in town. Most are at the local high school so all the teenagers in town go to the high school and gather all the fire extinguishers there and after returning to town, they use the extinguishers to freeze the Blob. Soon, the army sends a helicpter to take the Blob to the north pole, where it is dropped onto the frozen tundra. The End...?
